A family moving and fighting the Great Depression. All about the struggles during that time. |
Some of the greatest books, and some of my personal favorites. Each of these book have been important to me at some point of time. Considered to be some of the greatest literary works of all time. I believe that these books are great at exploring us as humans. With each of them exploring a different part of what it is to be human.
In Particular Animal farm explores how we are often no different from the people we are revolting against, with the Russian Revolution as a stand in. Of Mice And Men explores the relationships we share with others and the choices we have to make with those. The Great Gatsby also has to do with relationships, but more of how we act without those relationships. The two books I want to read are 1984 and Grapes of Wrath, because of how they affect people under surveilance, and the lengths people go for their family.
